November 2025 was a busy month as he prepared for and participated on this Australian Scout Award Hike in the Barrington Tops. Josh led a patrol of four scouts across a distance of 30km from the Poleblue camp ground to the Lagoon Pinch Picnic area.
Leaving around 5pm in the afternoon the patrol hiked into the Murrays Run camp ground and pitched the tents for the night, while having a yummy dinner by a warm campfire. The following day they continued down the barrington trail to the Junction Pools camp area, when it really got fun! Battling through the thick scottish broom across Aeroplane hill and around the black swamp before making it to Careys peak, and eventually their campsite at Wombat Creek.
Storms rolled through the night, but everyone was safe and warm tucked away in the their tents, before the big decent down some 800m in elevation to the Lagoon pinch, over just a 3km distance. An adventure to remember!
