Brielle led a two night hike in the Myall Lakes to achieve her level 5 bushwalking badge, a prerequist for her australian scout award. The hike occurred in mid december 2023 and traversed from the Stewart and Llyod campground near Hawks Nest to Mungo Brush, with a day walk around Mungo brush. Leaving on Friday afternoon the group of four walkers braved the heat, by leaving bright an early saturday morning to arrive at mungo brush after lunch.
‘It was great to spend some time resting by the lake after hiking in the heat this morning’ said Brielle. But they did require a quick exit from the water when a red bellied black snake decided to swim past.
The group had a fun and safe journey and it was the culmination of Brielle’s scouting knowledge.
